I am reading How They Croaked by Georgia Bragg and I would definitely recommend this book to any seventh grader who wants to read about how people throughout history, well, croaked! With cool illustrations of King Tut, Cleopatra, Henry VII, the real Pocahontas, and more, the book is fascinating to read. This book is great, not only for seventh graders, but for everyone. -E.O.
Seventh graders should read the book Mia Hamm: Go For The Goal because it tells a fascinating story of one of the best female soccer players ever. This book also contains great tips and tricks from Mia Hamm herself. First, Mia Hamm is an inspiration to all young players around the world. She fought through the ups and downs, trial , and defeat. But she kept going. She dreamed of being a professional player when she was 7, and she wanted it. On the field she was fearless too, never giving up. For example, she said, ¨you can´t just beat a team, you have to leave a lasting impression in their minds so they never want to see you again¨(89). This depicts the pure determination she had every match. This book is great for seventh grade athletes because it inspires them to get better and never give up during difficult times.
